Why Lapu exists
Most computer work is not hard. It is repetitive: renaming a folder of invoices, copying figures from PDFs into a spreadsheet, filling the same form in three different apps. It eats hours every week.
AI chatbots can explain how to do that work, but they cannot do it. The agents that can do it are built for developers and expect a terminal, API keys and a lot of patience.
Lapu sits in the gap. It lives on your desktop, works with the files and apps you already use, and asks before it changes anything. If you can describe the result you want, you can use it.

The assistant cannot act without your approval. Low-risk reads can be auto-approved; deleting files always asks. Every action is logged.

Lapu runs on your machine and has no cloud storing your files. Only the context a task needs is sent to AI model providers to reason about it.
Named elements, not pixel guesses
Lapu works through an app's own automation layer, the one screen readers use. It presses the Save button, not a coordinate, so it keeps working when a window moves.
